In line with a change in legislation, we will no longer be selling sporrans made from seal skin from summer 2010.

This legislation, which has been welcomed by wildlife campaigners, has banned the import of seal products from Canada due to the inhumane culling of the animals.

Whilst we agree with the principles underpinning the ban, this presents a threat to a long tradition of sporran making in Scotland from cheaper imported sporrans from abroad.

The good news is there are a number of emerging natural and synthetic alternatives which we have used to sustain the quality in our range of sporrans.
